About the term ITI or What does ITI means?
ITI stands for an Industrial training institute and is one of the major schemes under the government of India in the field of Vocational Training. ITI training is known at the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) which was introduced by the government in the year 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industries. The Directorate General of Training (DGT) in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is the apex organization for development and coordination at the National level for the programs relating to vocational training including Women’s Vocational Training. Industrial Training Institutes are under the administrative and financial control of State Governments or Union Territory Administrations. DGT is in process of constantly upgrading and modernizing the ITIs in terms of their infrastructure, pedagogy, curriculum, and technology interventions. Accordingly, new-age courses in IoT, Renewable Energy, Additive Manufacturing Technology (3-D Printing), Mechatronics, Drone Technology, etc. have been recently introduced in the ITIs.

About Dainhat Private ITI: Dainhat Private ITI is affiliated and approved by NCVT (National Council of Vocational Training) and you can find our details under the government website link ncvtmis.gov.in. The ITI is undergoing its fourth batch of admission as of now since it started in the year 2017.
Mission: To develop skilled workers to its fullest extent so that they are capable to take any challenge in their career and to enrich students with high-end pieces of training including an all-round knowledge in their field of study. To see that each and every student gets fully equipped with machine works at the workshop level and understands their classes as per the curriculum, so by providing them updated machines, tools, books, and other requirements in days to come.
About the management: It runs under “Universal Educational and Social Welfare Trust”. The Trust lies in the State of West Bengal, India. The objective of the Trust is also to provide skill training to handicapped students in days to come for which it has started collectively working to accumulate a fund for its next venture in days to come. Even it has focused to start a school for the deaf and dumb under approval from the government of India.
Placement and Jobs: If you look into the links available under placement, our team is well equipped for providing placement to willing students who have no choice while undergoing placement as a fresher. Although our past and current employers are well established and reputed concerns. Trainees can avail of placement as soon as they have completed their final examination. ITI is linked to many well-known manufacturing companies in and out of West Bengal. We do also have good tie-ups with well-known placement consultants who avail placement only on merit basis. Since our employers and HRs require good trainees we also encourage trainees from other institutions for placement. Our curriculum and training atmosphere prepares our students for industry-ready jobs.
Trades available are in the engineering category namely Fitter and Electrician. The duration of the training is 2 years of regular mode. Eligibility is Passed 10th class with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of Education or its equivalent.
Location of ITI: The ITI is located under the Dainhat Municipality in Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The nearest popular town “Katwa” is around 8kms from its location. The nearest railway station is Katwa Junction. One can even come from Bardhaman Junction railway station and then via bus services easily available 24 hours from Bardhman city to Katwa. Mainline trains ply from Howrah to Bardhaman and Asansol to Bardhaman. One can reach directly to Dainhat Station from Bandel Junction to the Katwa Junction railway route. Both local and mail trains are available but only mail trains have a stoppage at Bandel, Ambika Kalna, Nabadwip, and Katwa.
About Instructors: We have a good team of experienced instructors both in Practical and Theoretical. On average the experience of our instructors varies from 5-12 years with an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum as per the market need. Project works are prepared and mandatory to be completed by trainees in association with their instructors thus this helps trainees to gain extra knowledge other than and related to the trade either in fitter or electrician.
Our Back-Office/MIS: We run our institutional data fully in digital formats. Our special IT Team is well equipped to develop and bring out solutions related to any data inputs and reports as required. Because of our strong data records and maintenance, we project the best when it comes to functioning, reorganizations, tie-ups, and trainees support, etc in any dimensions. We have our own apps that can be available at Google play store for students to undergo pieces of training, notices, payments, etc. Moreover, our own collection of questions and answers are made mandatory for the students to solve in days to come as they may have to opt for online examinations as per government guidelines. Thus makes our trainees ready for Online Examinations at AITT (All India Trade Test) level.
Extra Activities: Cultural, sports, social responsibilities are the key part which we organize along with our students. This encourages our students to be active in all respects. We impart special classes related to the English language and spoken. Digital literacy and its outcomes are also delivered as when required. Entrepreneurship and Self employability is also focused on extra activities because it has been found through our placement cell that major students lack to focus on outstation jobs due to various problems related to their family. By encouraging our students and giving them ideas and implementations for self employability remains a major role in training.
